Larry Murphy served as the director of information systems and technology for the judicial branch of Iowa for 21 years. One of the applications he was responsible for was the Iowa Court Information Systems. The case management systems included a trial court case management system, financial accounting, noticing, tickler system, a case scheduling system, an appellate case management system and a judge's docket automation system. Previously, Murphy was a district court administrator for the Second Judicial District. Larry retired from the Iowa Judicial Branch in December 2008. He also has served as a court IT consultant for the National Center for State Courts. He is a member of the National Association of Court Managers and has served as a member of the NCSC’s Joint Technology Council for three years.
