Alan Carlson

Alan Carlson has more than 33 years of experience working in state and local justice systems across the country and internationally.  He is the chief executive officer of the Superior Court of California for the County of Orange, Calif., which serves over three million residents, where his responsibilities include those of court administrator, clerk of court, and jury commissioner.  He is the principal author of the CCJ/COSCA Guidelines for Public Access to Court.  He holds a JD degree from Hastings College of Law and a BS degree from the University of California at Berkeley.
