Craig Burlingame was appointed the chief information officer of the Massachusetts Trial Court in June 2004 by Chief Justice Robert Mulligan. He is responsible for IT oversight of seven trial court departments, including the Office of the Commissioner of Probation and the Jury Commissioner. He oversees the conversion of the trial courts to MassCourts, a web-based case management system. Burlingame also serves as vice chair of the Court Information Technology Officers Consortium. Previously, Burlingame served as the first cabinet-level chief information officer for Boston Mayor Thomas Menino. His career includes more than 30 years of public sector IT experience.
