Tim Brennan is the chief scientist of Northpointe Institute, but is best known for his published works, including the book The Social Psychology of Runaways, which he co-authored with Del Elliott and Dave Huizinga. Brennan was honored by the American Society of Criminology in 2007 with its Warren-Palmer Award for contributions to differential treatment and classification of offenders. His research interests include predictive modeling and the use of machine learning methods in case classification and offender taxonomies. His work has been reported in various popular media, including the BBC, National Public Radio, ABC News’ 20/20, and Psychology Today. He also has published widely in criminological journals.
